Android App Pick - Dumpster Recycle Bin

Application: Dumpster Recycle Bin

Good day readers!  This week we are celebrating Earth Day and we’ve noticed that Google Play has Apps geared toward every occasion. Part of being environmentally conscious is knowing where and when to dump.  Speaking of dumping things, have you ever need to take a dump and do some spring cleaning?  Every now and then it’s a good idea to throw out the old and unwanted items that are just taking up space. We do it often around the house, so why not virtually!  On the flip side, maybe you have deleted something you wish you hadn’t.  Some dumpster diving may be needed in this case.  You can do this virtually by using the Dumpster Recycle Bin on your Android device.  It’s a lot less smelly than real dumpster diving.

Dumpster Recycle Bin is an app I came across when I was looking to see what Google Play had for earth day.  This is an easy app to use that isn't too complicated at all.  Files that you delete simply end up in the recycle bin - just like on your PC or Mac.  You can either empty it yourself or set a time frame for how long your device will keep the deleted items. You can even lock your recycle bin to prevent people from going through your trash.  Just like your computer, you can restore things back to new from the bin. Simply press and hold the item you want to restore until a screen comes up saying restore or cancel. When you restore the deleted item you may not see it right away. I had to power cycle my phone for the item to show up again in my gallery.  It does not restore contacts or SMS yet, but that is planned for a future update.  This is a great app to help you keep organized and to help you undo those accidental deleted items.
