Other Thoughts:

With all these bells and whistles I think the phone has lived up to and surpassed my expectations. As I said before, there are a few things I miss from my Nexus 5, but there are more things that this device has that I've been missing and I never knew it. I will say again that the battery life is incredible.

Drawing on the phone screen is fun as well as useful, and having the ability to customize layouts, folder colors, font type and size are all pretty sweet. The voice activated camera is a nice touch, and photo and video editing is easy, pretty powerful and fast. These are just a few of my favorite highlights.

In terms of performance, it ran just fine for the most part. There were a few things that left me feeling a bit deflated however. The location and quality of the speaker was disappointing. Front-facing speakers are much better and at the very least, put a speaker on the bottom or top to make it usable when laying on a table. The auto-brightness was a little picky at times. It would go super dim, then suddenly without changing the lighting in the room, would go really bright. I had to play around with it a fair bit in order to make it useable. The manual brightness mode was less manual than the auto-brightness mode.

Conclusion:

Overall the LG X Power K210 is a pretty decent phone. I love the thin and light profile of the phone and I can't always tell it's in my pocket until it rings or vibrates. It's built pretty solid for the price point, but I'm sure it would die a horrible tragic death if dropped onto a sidewalk, as most phones do. For casual bumps and knocks it should be just fine. I would put a case on the X-Power even though it would fatten up the thin profile.

If you want a phone that can last several days on a single charge, this is a great phone. I was impressed. There aren't too many people that wish their phone had a smaller battery. The MicroSD card slot is almost a requirement as a 16GB device isn't big enough to satisfy the media needs of most users. I'm glad that LG included that feature in the X-Power. Apps take up some space, but pictures and video eat your precious storage really fast.

The camera and video performance is solid, but not outstanding. Without OiS, you'll need lots of light to take clear flash-free front and rear photos.

Voice-to-text works alright, but it was a little slow to perform the translation.

The K210 doesn't come with a ton of extras, but they do include the necessities. It includes a wall charger, charging cable, user guide and SIM card tool.

Value is pretty decent as you can pick up this device off-contract at major carriers up here in Canada for $249 CAD. In the USA you should be able to pick it up for well under $200 and depending on where you pick it up, it could be unlocked. At the start of testing, only Bell was carrying it here in the Great White North, but now it's available almost everywhere.

Overall this phone is great and delivers on LGs promise of a phone with a huge battery that isn't a huge device. If you're looking for a phone that you'll have to charge a couple times a week instead of a couple times a day, this is about your only choice. As I mentioned earlier, there are a few things that could be better, but overall it won't disappoint; not for the price.

There are a couple of things that keep me from giving this phone a "Gold" award here at BCCHardware, but it is easily worth a Silver medal.
