Today we have a case from Cooler Master that is part of their Storm Series. The Enforcer case is from Cooler Master’s new line of products aimed at gamers and what they want. As you know, Cooler Master is well known for manufacturing PC components like cases, power supplies and coolers along with various products for laptops.
The CM Storm Enforcer comes in a very flashy detailed box. Unlike some others it isn't just plain old brown box with some black stencils on it. The Enforcer has full color graphics on its packaging.
Once it is opened we find that it is protected by the standard Styrofoam and plastic bag, which did a great job of protecting it during its travels. After removing it from all its packaging, we can see that the Enforcer has some style. It has several large cut-outs in the front along with some louvers and a window in the left side panel.
Starting from the front the first thing I noticed was that the Enforcer has 2xUSB 3.0 ports, 2xUSB 2.0 ports, Microphone port, headphone port, HDD activity led and the main power button. The reset button is located behind the door that covers all the 5.25” bays. The Enforcer has 4x5.25' optical drive bays that are covered with steel mesh blanks and all the optical bays are covered by a door that is hinged on the right side. The door is constructed of plastic but feels very secure - not flimsy at all. The lower section of the case is filled with several openings and more steel mesh covering the intake area at HDD.
The top of the Enforcer is solid except for the rear where it has an opening that accepts several different exhaust fan configurations. The rear has the standard motherboard I/O opening, 3 apertures for water cooling, a black 120mm exhaust fan, 7+1 expansion slots and an opening for the bottom mounted power supply. The bottom has a removable dust filter covering the power supply intake and some large feet for it to rest on. The left side panel of the Enforcer has a raised area that has 4 louvers and a window. The right side panel is solid.
On the next page we'll take a closer look at this case and then jump into the features and specifications.
