|Final Thoughts and Conclusion|
There are quite a few different choices in the aftermarket cooling field, and today we are going to look at a new product from a relatively new company, the GELID Solutions Silent Spirit CPU Cooler.
GELID Solutions is a newer company to the cooling market, and while the Silent Spirit is their first attempt at a CPU cooler, they have a few other products, including their GELID Solutions GC-1 thermal paste (which we have reviewed here). GELID Solutions is a Hong Kong based company with Swiss management, and was founded in 2008 by a couple of PC cooling market veterans and provide thermal solutions for both gamers and silent enthusiasts.
The Silent Spirit is a quad-heatpipe cooler that features a 100mm fan, and like the name suggests, is optimized to be "Silent".
The GELID Solutions Silent Spirit comes in a nice simple white box, everything is packaged nice and tight, with all the important details of this cooler on the back and sides.
Once you get the Silent Spirit out of the box, you notice pretty quickly that is a nice and solid cooler and feels pretty sturdy. The design of the Silent Spirit is pretty standard for a heatpipe cooler, it's a little different shape but isn't too much different that other smaller heatpipe coolers.
As you can see in the picture below (right), the Silent Spirit comes pre-applied with GELID Solutions' very own GC-1 thermal paste (You can read our review of the Gelid GC-1 Thermal Paste here).
In the picture below (right) you can see that the accessories included with the Silent Spirit are pretty minimal, the LGA775 mounting brackets come pre-installed, so the only extra parts are the brackets for AM2 and the instructions, as well as a case badge so you can let everyone know that you've got a GELID Solutions cooler inside your case.
