Introduction: 

Over the past month I've had a whole bunch of thermal compounds on the bench, and today we're going to throw another 2 compounds in to the mix and see how they match up. Today we are going to take a look at the GELID Solutions GC-2 thermal compound as well as the GELID Solutions GC-Extreme thermal compound.

These aren't the first GELID Solutions thermal compounds we've covered, we took a look at the original GELID Solutions GC-1 Thermal Compound just about a year ago (you can read the full review over here). The GC-1 was their first thermal compound and for being a newcomer to the thermal compound market it did very well thanks to a lower MSRP and great performance. GELID Solutions has now released their newest products (GC-2 and GC-Extreme) and we're going to take a closer look to see what they are all about and how they measure up to all the other thermal compounds we've taken a look at.

Closer Look:

Just like the original GC-1, the GC-2 and GC-Extreme thermal compounds both come with a handy applicator stick to help you get a nice application of thermal compound without making a big mess. The applicator stick is pretty much the first thing you notice when you check out the packaging and I'm happy to see that they've continued to include it.

Both the GC-2 and GC-Extreme both come in pretty standard packaging and standard tubes, nothing too exciting or out of the ordinary to see.
