AMD Sells Campus - Hurting

AMD seems to be struggling for a while, and things aren't looking up much.  In fact they plan to sell their Texas campus to raise some money to keep operating.  This is not good news at all.  The industry needs AMD to help keep Intel in check.  Without AMD Intel can pull things like integrating CPUs into the motherboards.

Earlier on Tuesday, AMD Chief Executive Rory Read told investors at a conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, that results from the U.S. Thanksgiving weekend look encouraging for PC sales although it is too early to make predictions about the entire holiday shopping season, and the PC industry still faces long-term problems.
