Pokemon Go Players Targeted by Robbers

Pokemon Go has suffered a bit of a rough start - due to its incredible popularity. The servers, run by Niantic Labs have been struggling to keep up to demand as more players have flooded this game more quickly than Ingress - their other Augmented Reality title. Now, players are being targeted by robbers as Pokestops have been used to lure players and they are being ambushed. While this is not widespread (yet), it does make you think twice before you try and catch them all.

The St. Charles County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office is charging three men - one 17 years old, the other two 18 - for the Pokémon Go-related crimes. They are being charged with robbery in the first degree, with bail set at $100,000 cash.

This isn't the first time Pokémon Go has brushed with law enforcement. On Friday, a teenager in Wyoming discovered a dead body while playing the game.
