Google Night Mode Might Come Back to Android

"Night Mode" is a feature that was set to release in Android 7.0, but was axed for a number of reasons. This mode allows for a darker theme and a lower color temperature to be added to your screen so that less blue light is emitted from your device screen making it easier to fall asleep. A number of studies show that blue light keeps you awake and alert more than a softer reddish light. I've enabled the mode on my Nexus 6P and while it works well, I don't often use my phone when I should be sleeping anyhow.

The decision is being followed after a thread named ‘Bring Back Night Mode’ was posted on the company’s issue tracker. Google’s Night Mode allows users to adjust the screen colour temperature for the purpose of minimizing excessive strain on the user’s eyes.
