NZXT Kraken X52 AiO Liquid Cooler

NZXT has some pretty solid coolers that range from single fan units all the way up to monster triple-fan units that only fit in specific cases. Today, the news is all about their X52 - an updated dual-fan radiator setup that promises a mix of performance and system compatibility. In addition to decent performance, NZXT has added some "Infinity" lighting to the cooler. While it looks cool, I'm sure that the extra cost could maybe have been better put to use on higher quality pump bearings or better fans.

NZXT has produced a solid AIO with the Kraken X52 as long as you don’t mind cranking the fans up to full speed. If you do, you’ll be rewarded with the second-best temperatures we ever recorded. Turning the fans down to minimum cuts the performance of the X52 severely. The difference between the highest speed and lowest speed stands at about twelve degrees. At eighty-one degrees Celsius, this puts the temperature of our CPU into uncomfortable territory in terms of long term stability. I would suggest not turning the fans this low if you plan on aggressive overclocking.
