Day 3 Rocked:

Day three at CES was by far the most interesting and best day we've had yet.  We managed to meet with many companies that we didn't expect and even got a chance to meet Adam Sessler from X-Play.

Skype Products:

One of the big movers in the market this year is related to Skype.  Skype took North America by storm in 2006 as they offered free North America calling.  Many people switched over to Skype for their Telephony needs, and companies responded with Skype focused hardware.  We had a chance to meet with RTX, who is not an actual reseller.  Instead, their products will end up rebranded with Telephony company logos.  RTX manufactures both Skype and non-Skype related products and will end up being carried by the local Canadian carrier - Telus.

RTX's hardware pictured above is not stand alone 802.11 wireless.  This hardware requires a base unit that essentially runs Skype that can be accessed and administered from the phone.

Netgear has their own Skype hardware as well.  Their first unit that is super popular is the SPH101.  This is very popular as it adds 802.11 WiFi accessibility to the Skype handset.  This is a very popular product and is one of the must have products of 2006 - 2007.  Netgear also offers some more advance dual-phone handsets that work with both Skype and traditional landlines.
