Microsoft Sidelines the Courier (http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/29/microsoft-confirms-kills-courier-in-one-fell-swoop/) 1:57
It looks like Microsoft sidelined their Courier Dual-Screen tablet.  On my birthday.  This removes competition from Apple and makes them the go-to company for your tablet needs.  Everyone wants Apple’s revenue and if they can’t do it, they are quitting – yay for them.

JooJoo Now Available in Europe and Canada (http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/28/joojoo-now-available-in-europe-and-canada-new-firmware-promised/) 10:49
Although the JooJoo from Fusion Garage is now available in Canada and Europe, I think it’s too little too late – especially for $500.  If they could pull it off for $200 like originally planned, it may have made it.  Not now…

HP Slate Killed (http://techcrunch.com/2010/04/29/hewlett-packard-to-kill-windows-7-tablet-project/) 12:22
HP Slate is another tablet that is dead in the water – before launch as HP has taken a different direction away from Windows-based tablets to possibly going with the WebOS from Palm that debuted on the Palm Pre Smartphone.  In other news…

HP Buys Palm (http://www.engadget.com/2010/04/28/hp-buys-palm/) 13:40
Many people wonder why a company like HP would spend $1.2 Billion on Palm.  They wanted their WebOS so that they can push that onto the Slate and therefore bring another App Store to the market so they can try and score some Apple revenue.  Daniel believes that it won’t work, and I’d have to agree with him.  The sad thing is that there is no choice but Apple and having no choice isn’t much of a choice.

Cops Bust Into Gizmodo Editor’s Home and Confiscated Gear (http://www.businessinsider.com/cops-bust-into-gizmodo-editors-home-and-seize-computers-documents-in-iphone-probe-2010-4) 19:19
Although I think that Apple shouldn’t have gone as far as this, but Gizmodo was clearly in the wrong as they bought stolen property and then proceeded to exploit this whole situation for traffic numbers.  It worked very well for him and probably netted the company at least $1,000,000.  Not bad and they can easily replace their gear for under $100,000.  They cleared $900,000 – not a bad week for Gizmodo.

Steve Job Skewers Adobe in “Open Letter” (http://www.dailytech.com/Steve+Jobs+Skewers+Adobe+in+Open+Letter/article18266.htm) 24:30
Jobs hates Adobe Flash.  It’s obvious.  He says it’s not open.  Here’s a quote.
Quote
Adobe’s Flash products are 100% proprietary. They are only available from Adobe, and Adobe has sole authority as to their future enhancement, pricing, etc. While Adobe’s Flash products are widely available, this does not mean they are open, since they are controlled entirely by Adobe and available only from Adobe. By almost any definition, Flash is a closed system.

That sounds exactly like Apple products… So Steve, what is the big deal – you are doing the EXACT SAME THING!!!

Blizzard Announces July 27 Release for StarCraft II (http://news.cnet.com/8301-17938_105-20004026-1.html) 30:01
StarCraft II is highly anticipated in the RTS market and it’s coming.  July 27 for all you hardcore StarCraft fans.

Call of Duty 7 Teaser Video Dissected (http://www.gametrailers.com/video/gt-pop-block-call-of/65165) 31:12
GameTrailers has dissected the Call of Duty 7: Black Ops trailer.  It looks like it could be dated anywhere between late 70’s up to the late 80’s.  It will be interesting to see where it goes.
