Blockbuster Laughed at Netflix Partnership Offer 1:56
Not all business decisions are great – such as the maniacal laughter that Blockbuster exuded when then were approached by Netflix to partner up.   Blockbuster is now in bankruptcy protection while Netflix is doing business worth over half a billion a year.  Ouch.

Time Warner thinks Netflix Sucks 10:00
It appears that Netflix has the Rodney Dangerfield “No Respect” thing going on this week as Time Warner thinks they are as much of a threat as the Albanian army.  Wait, didn’t Blockbuster say pretty much the same thing.  Good luck with that TW.

Google Releases their Chrome Notebook 14:15
Google is once again pushing some hardware with their latest ChromeOS initiative and is still a few months away from launching the Cr-48 Notebook.  This will be all cloud-based storage.  There are some hands-on around the web, but keep in mind that the actual release is still months away.

10 Things You Can and Can’t Do With Google’s Chrome OS 18:25
The full ChromeOS train is coming and Computerworld looks at 10 things you can and can’t do with this platform and the current piece of hardware.  Some of these things are going to be platform killers if they don’t figure out a better “offline” platform.  Still, it’s a while out.

December 2010 Patch from Microsoft Will be Huge 27:55
To show that we’re not just Mac-haters, we have posted up some information regarding a very large patch from Microsoft coming this December.  Please make sure you get it as it covered 40+ security vulnerabilities and more.  It affects a ton of platforms all the way back to WinXP.  It’s not as big as the Apple patch, but still – backup and keep yourself updated.  Public Service Announcement #22.

Google Nexus S Reviewed 35:30
The Google Nexus One was a pretty stale seller – although the pure Android experience is great.  The Nexus Two (aka Nexus S (aka Samsung Galaxy S Bare)) is out and about and is unlocked, pure and going to be priced at $529 without contract.  That’s a lot for a phone, but the feature and improvement list is pretty decent.  If you want to experience Android as it was meant to be, check it out.

Video Game Industry had a good November 38:35
It goes to show that if you make good games, sales will still do pretty well.  Although Nintendo and Sony had pretty good months, the big sales went to Microsoft and the Xbox 360 / Kinect as well as peripherals and sales of Call of Duty: Black Ops.  Those major factors kicked the industry into a good finish for 2010 – we hope.

Twitter – Mainly for Kids 44:27
It’s sad, but true.  It’s mainly kids that use twitter.  I guess that makes me; a) either an exception or b) young at heart?  I use twitter primarily to publish my social stream into other networks.  It’s easy to send one update to twitter and have it hit friendfeed, facebook, etc.  Still once you look at the top twitter trending topics, you have to agree that it’s mostly kids.

Google Could Make eBooks Free 51:00
Although many of us prefer to read without ads, Google is working on a method to deliver ads to eBooks – thus making them free.  While this sounds like a good idea for a “cheap” reader, I hate to think how obtrusive the ads could be.  Angry-birds sized ads wouldn’t be bad, but they probably wouldn’t generate much revenue.  We shall see.  2011 will be the year of the Tablet and eBook reader.
