In a wonderful move by the CRTC up here in Canada, we cannot get the Kindle in Canada.  You can check here and see if you’re country is available.  Probably you’ll be able to – even if you life in Viet Nam.  Enjoy all you free world and communist countries – except Canada.

Microsoft is mulling a 128-bit version of Windows 8 and Windows 9.
Just when Windows can’t really take advantage of 64-bit software at this point, Microsoft is already working on the next version of Windows in the 128-bit format.  It’s not as impressive as it sounds but it will be good for marketing, selling new hardware and more.

MIcrosfot Windows Phones get Ripped in WinMo 6.5 Debut
The new Windows Mobile 6.5 OS release has hit like a ton of bricks.  It seems that not many people can objectively say anything good about this latest band-aid version of the Microsoft Mobile Operating System.  A few quotes are below for your viewing pleasure:
Quote
TechCrunch says, "It still sucks."
Gizmodo says, "There's no excuse for this."
Engadget calls it "very much a nip-tuck job -- just as every Windows Mobile version in recent memory has been."

Apple Isn’t Even Bothering to Lie Anymore
TechCrunch runs a story that covers why Apple blocked the Google Voice iPhone App.  It my opinion, this is just another lie though as they allow programs like Skype and Vonage to work over WiFi, but not 3G.  I’m sure that AT&T is still behind it putting the screws to their consumers and their lawyers up the backsides of Apple.

This IS a Photoshop and It Blew My Mind.
For those of us that have poor photoshop skills, or don’t have any skills at all, this new software called PhotoSketch allows you to draw stick figure-esque drawings, label them and have the computer render an incredible photo that has been chopped up from a lot of different photos and blended to make a work of art.  With software like this, now is not a good time to have a camera.

Dell Reveals New Adamo XPS Super Thin Laptop – No Details
Dell has recently been spotted showing off the new XPS Adamo laptop and while they never gave out any details, what we can see is that this machine is super-duper thin.  It makes the Macbook Air look chubby.  Whether you like Apple or not, you have to admit that they have inspired styling in PCs that had never happened previously.  The Adamo XPS is thinner than the iPhone.
It’s thin enough you could actually catch it with your butt – much like the X-Slim laptop from MSI.

Almost Nobody Owns Just Macs.
It seems that although Apple is gaining market share, that out of the 12% of homes that have Mac products, less that 2% of those are Mac exclusive.  What does that mean?  People still need and want PC hardware for other things that just editing photos.

Verizon Opens Up, Will Support Any Device/App on Its Network
This is a great move by Verizon to drive competition as they allow any device or application that has the ability to use their network to connect to their network.  You’re not a terrorist, communist, or an anarchist – you’re a consumer that gets what they want.  Nice!
By the way, there’s a map for that.
