Google Prepares to Launch Google Offers to Compete With Groupon 5:45
There is a lot of money to be saved and made in the coupon business, and with companies like Living Social, Groupon and now Google Offers, there are lots of places to find great deals.  It’s crazy how a company like Groupon can be worth so much – they declined to sell for $6 Billion and will IPO around $15 Billion.  Holy cattle…

Apple’s App Store hits 10 Billion Downloads 13:05
If you want a definition of success, it’s having your product used at least 10 Billion times.  That is the number of Apps that have been downloaded from Apple’s App store.  That is a really impressive number as it signifies foresight and success on many accounts.  The person who downloaded lucky number 10,000,000,000 got a $10,000 iTunes gift card.  Nicely done.

Steve Jobs is Taking Some Time Off From Apple 15:42
I don’t wish anyone ill health and it’s too bad that Steve Jobs is taking yet another medical leave of absence from Apple.  At this point it doesn’t look like he’ll be back which means we’ll have to get to know Tim Cook.  He’s the second in command and now has been moved to the 1st place go-to guy.  Hopefully he can manage, but he has pretty big shoes to fill.  On a completely separate note, Apple stock is down.

Larry Page is the New Google CEO 23:20
Who better to manage a company than one of the guys that started the company?  Eric Schmidt is out and it looks like Larry Page should be up to the challenge.  He is one of the founders so I’m sure he has a pretty clear vision of where to steer the company.

Acer Denies Phasing out Netbooks in Favor of Tablets 27:44
Acer did very well in the Netbook business.  In fact, they did better than the original creator of this niche – ASUS.  Now, they are turning “some” attention to Tablets, but have no plans to phase out netbooks – which means they are going to phase out netbooks once their stock is used up… At least that’s what Jason is saying.

Nintendo 3DS to cost $250 32:45
The 3DS from Nintendo will be available in March and will bring with as many as 30 3D titles for you to destroy your eyes on.  The benefit to this platform is that the 3D technology used is glasses-less.  Hopefully it doesn’t suck as bad as I think it will.  Still, for $250, I won’t be buying one of these anytime soon.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Coming in November 39:20
Wow.  It seems like only last year we saw Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops… Wait, that is pretty much true.  In a mad dash to get your cash, Activision is planning on pumping out Modern Warfare 3 later this year.  I’m sure it will be a huge hit – whether it deserves to be or not.  The Call of Duty Machine is a money-hungry beast that always manages to get her fill.
