Flip Video is Done
Flip Video came into being about 4 years ago and two years ago Cisco bought the company.  It has come a long way, but apparently not far enough as Cisco decided to axe it – instead of sell it this past week.  Flip is done – and it will be missed as it put video into the hands of everyone and made using and sharing video easy.  RIP Flip.

Wii HD?
There have been some rumblings that Nintendo will be releasing an update Wii – possibly the Wii 2 or the Wii HD in the near future.  I’m not really sure how popular this will be – unless it is a major revision.  The big question is; “Do we need or even want a Wii 2?

Office 365 Beta
Microsoft Office is a GREAT PRODUCT!  I know Daniel things that Open Office is “good enough”, but that’s like saying a Ford Pinto is “good enough”.  Yes, it can get the job done, but it’s “meh”.  Office 365 is the latest cloud initiative from Microsoft that aims to put a great office experience everywhere you are – including mobile devices.  The kicker is that it will cost $6 a month – with no free model like Google Business Apps.

Kyrocera’s Dual-Screen Smartphone
We haven’t heard much from Kyrocera in the Smartphone space for a while, but they’ve released their dual-screen Android-loving Echo on the Sprint network and it looks pretty fancy.  I don’t know what I’d do with this battery-hogging brick, but it looks cool.  If Office 365 worked on it, it might be a great device.

Blackberry PlayBook gets mixed reviews
Blackberry is late to the party (in typical Microsoft fashion) with their Tablet and it is getting some mixed reviews.  The biggest downfall is that it isn’t as fast as it should be; given that it has a 1GHz dual-core CPU.  If they get it working 100%, it could be a good choice yet.  That being said, it’s great if you’re an IT-Manager though.

Twitter turned down $10,000,000,000
Google wants to buy Twitter for the real-time search value.  Twitter actually has this down to an art-form and companies want it – badly.  Like $10 Billion badly.  Twitter said no to Google this week and has turned down an offer that is twice what the company is valued at.  That’s crazy town and I’m sure that Twitter share-holders aren’t too happy.

Internet Explorer 10?
No one is sure what Internet Explorer 10 is actually about, or why Microsoft has announced it on the heels of the Internet Explorer 9 launch.  Jason thinks it’s all about hype and an accelerated cycle to make people think it’s better.  Daniel says no as it won’t work on anything other than Windows 7.  Either  way, it is official and a beta is already available.

Google Claiming 350,000 Android Phones Activated Per Day
Google’s Android platform is taking over the mobile market.  With now over 350,000 activations per day (10,500,000 / month), it is the fastest growing platform around – and continues to be – and continues to show no signs of slowing down.  In another 6 months we could see as many as 400,000 per day = 12 Million / month.  Wow.  Apple, Microsoft and RIM are all getting their butts kicked.
