Sega Gets Hacked, LulzSec Offers to Seek Revenge
In an odd move of PR action, LulzSec has offered to track down and destroy the people who recently hacked Sega.  While no hacking group has claimed responsibility, LulzSec claims they will help out Sega cause “they loved the Dreamcast.”  My thoughts are that LulzSec hacked Sega in the first place and just wanted to generate some good PR.

Redbox to offer video game rentals
The Redbox has been very popular in the USA.  In it you can find 200 movies for rent at $1 / DVD and $1.50 / Blu-Ray for a day worth of watching.  They’ve recently decided to add games to this mix and will be supporting 20+ games in each box as well.  A game will set you back $2 / day and should be a lot cheaper and easier than going to your bankrupt Blockbuster.  It’s perfect for trying out NFS:Run before you drop $50 on that game.

Kinect for PC
Microsoft has pulled the stops and opened up the Kinect SDK for use on the PC.  While we all knew it was compatible, you know have an official – albeit – BETA SDK to play with and figure out how to do skeletal, voice, and gesture inputs to your favorite game or application.  Bring on the life-like Wheel of Futune!  Who gets to be Vanna!?

Nintendo Says Only One Wii U Controller Per Console
The Wii U looks like a lot of fancy hardware to do what everyone else is already doing but with a fancier controller.  Unfortunately, although the hardware should work with multiple controllers, Nintendo is only allowing one fancy-schmancy controller with each Wii U.  This is great for single-player, but really puts a cramp on multiplayer ability.

Samsung to Become the Smartphone King
Samsung hasn’t been in the smartphone business that long, but they have already passed Apple in Smartphone sales.  What is also impressive is their “side project – Bada” has sold 3.5 Million units – 1 Million more than Windows Phone 7 devices combined.  They are kind and they know it.  This should push other companies to do better, and hopefully the consumer will once again be the winner.

Android 4.0 loaded Google Nexus 4G
Google has done quite well with the Nexus phones giving users a full uncrappy version of Android.  I’m a Nexus One user, but didn’t upgrade to the Nexus S.  After seeing what the Nexus 4G can do, I may be upgrading down the road.  Check at all the goodness at the link above.

FTC says ok to Microsoft’s purchase of Skype
The FCC has approved Microsoft buying Skype and this is good news as (at this point) all Anti-Trust issues are behind them and they can move forward with this purchase.  Other than Xbox 360 and the 2.5 Million Windows Phone 7 users – I’m not sure how they’ll integrate this with other products – it already is installable on PC…

Facebook loses 6 Million users in North America in May
Facebook lost 6 Million users in May in the USA alone and there are a few ideas as to why and what is going on.  I think it’s primarily that people are getting tired of the spam on Facebook and that more business people are moving toward other sites like LinkedIn.  Still, overall Facebook users grew as the company expands more overseas.

New Apple OS X Features List
ComputerWorld has posted up some more info regarding Apples upcoming Lion version of OS X.  This version will include 250 features and improvements over the last version.  I guess the number that separates a free service pack and a “new” version is somewhere over 200.

Nook Beats Kindle for the First Time
I’m the king of picking the wrong platform at the wrong time.  I bought into HD-DVD when it was dying and now that I finally grab a Kindle in favor of my busted Nook, Barnes and Noble releases the Nook Simple Touch Reader WiFi – for the same price as the non-Touch Screen Kindle.

I had a royal screw-up this past week as I obviously rushed the post-production of the podcast and included a bunch of pre-show chat on the iTunes/Zune/Official Stream.  I have fixed that now and you can get the "real" and proper version online at all the regular links.

Once again, sorry for the inconvenience.
