Nintendo ends NES Classic console
« on: April 14, 2017, 08:46:18 am »
It looks like the NES Classic console that was released late in 2016 is coming to an end already. It's been a tough task finding one of these as Nintendo hasn't been able to get the consoles into stores fast enough so it's a head scratcher as to why they are stopping production so soon. My prediction is there might be a new version with different games that might appear later down the road but in the mean time you might want to grab one quick. IGN has the details.

Additionally, a representative told IGN, “NES Classic Edition wasn’t intended to be an ongoing, long-term product. However, due to high demand, we did add extra shipments to our original plans.” The company has no plans to produce more NES Classic systems for North America. This announcement includes the discontinuation of the NES Classic Controller. As for third party accessories, Nintendo said the decision whether or not to continue production of accessories will be up to each individual manufacturer.
