Microsoft's Chromebook Event - What to Expect
« on: May 01, 2017, 06:51:05 pm »
Microsoft is hosting a special event on May 2nd that will highlight their focus on the education market. This is a huge market, but before you get excited, remember that they have all but failed in the mobile market, media market and in other hardware ventures. They do have some very successful software and the Surface line is still doing ok. I'm not betting big prior to the event, but maybe they will impress me when the event goes live.

Microsoft is expected to unveil a new version of Windows 10 designed to compete with Chrome OS. Windows 10 Cloud first appeared earlier this year, and leaks suggest it only supports apps from the Windows Store. A document appeared last week, detailing Microsoft’s performance targets for hardware running this new variant of Windows 10, and it’s rumored to debut as either “Windows 10 Cloud” or “Windows 10 S.”Source: TheVerge
