You Can Now Install Windows 10 S
« on: August 01, 2017, 09:25:48 pm »
Microsoft announced back in May that Windows 10 S was coming. It is now available and ready for everyone. You can "upgrade" to this limited version of Windows from Windows 10 Pro, Pro Education, Education or Enterprise. If you are running one of these wonderful versions, you can limit yourself to a poor experience and Windows Store Apps only by upgrading downgrading to Windows 10 S. I'm not sure why anyone would do that - except for testing purposes. Either way, this was previously availalble for MSDN subscribers only, and is now available for all.

At an event in May that was focused on the educational market, Microsoft announced Windows 10 S, a version of the operating system that can only run apps from the Windows Store. While the Surface Laptop was the first device to launch with the OS, and some new education-specific PCs were announced today, the firm didn't actually release any images of Windows 10 S until last week when ISOs were made available to MSDN subscribers.Source: Neowin
