Crucial Ship 128GB DDR4 Modules
« on: December 03, 2017, 07:43:56 pm »
If you simply don't have enough memory slots in your PC to cram all the memory you need, consider the new module Crucial just launched. This new DDR4 module runs at 2666MHz and manages to cram 128GB on a single stick. That's right, in four slots you could be rocking 512GB of memory. If you have a triple channel board, welcome to the 768GB of memory bandwagon. This is designed for the server market though and the price is currently a little prohibitive. At $3999 a stick, it's not for everyone.

Crucial has started shipments of its fastest and highest density server-class memory modules to date. Crucial’s 128 GB DDR4-2666 LRDIMMs are compatible with the latest memory-dense servers. These modules should be usable in both AMD EPYC systems and Intel Xeon systems, however Crucial states that they are optimized for Intel’s Xeon Scalable CPUs (Skylake-SP) launched earlier this year, and are aimed at mission-critical RAM-dependent applications.Source: AnandTech
