Android App Pick - Plants vs. Zombies 2

Application: Plants vs Zombies 2

Good day! It is a little chilly outside around BCCHQ South and just a little white. I guess we just had our first taste of winter. Winter doesn’t seem like a big deal though when there are zombies on the loose! Plants vs. Zombies 2 recently landed on Android and it’s a super fun game! Watching others play and then go through Puzzle Mode of the first Plants vs. Zombies was interesting and now that it’s on Android, it’s fun to play! You may have heard a few weeks ago that Apple paid EA a “truckload of money” to delay the release to Android in order to sell more iPhones. Apple – (aka sneaky buggers) positioned themselves to sell a few more phones because PvZ2 is pretty awesome. I didn’t switch and I’m glad Android is now able to get it to their Play Store for the rest of us.

I'm sure most of you have played the first PvZ or at least seen your friend or family play.  If you haven’t, you need to get out more. It’s basically a tower defense game that has you defending your base with plants that attack Zombies.  Plants vs. Zombies 2 is set in different parts of the world that you travel as you keep thinking about tacos.  This game doesn’t feature your typical lawn.  You start with a familiar lawn as you learn how to play, then you’re off to the Egyptian desert. As you make your way through the levels to the other parts of the world, you want to place plants to protect your place. All sorts of zombies will come as well as plants, and they get harder too! Learn new perks such as lighting, toss out and pinch the heads off zombies. Collect coins to buy plant food that gives your plants extra boost to knock out zombie hordes when things get crazy! Plant your rows of sunflowers to collect even more suns that will help you plant and defend - otherwise you’ll be walking like a zombie!

Even though the game is free to play, you can spend a lot of money on micro transactions in order to get through the game faster. That being said, Zeus is rocking the game and because he is a tightwad, he hasn’t and won’t spend a cent. Although you CAN spend money, the game experience really isn’t any better if you do. This helps secure it as our App Pick of the Week.
