During one of my frequent channel surfs, I stumbled across the Bresnan advertising channel which displayed the message, "System Properties - Out of Virtual Memory". If I'm not mistaken, the error message looks like it belongs to a win9x machine given the style. I found this quite hilarious myself and thought I'd share it with the world. Click the link for a bigger picture. The channel is from an analog signal and is kind of fuzzy, so sorry about the. . .
When you only have a computer doing one simple task, I see old OS's being used for that. The content of the program gets updated but the computer it's self sits in a closet working like a trooper.

I guess they could have chosen Win ME, it could always be worse. You'd think some system admin over the last 7 years would have noticed and at least throw a toned down version of 2000 Pro on there for stability.
Mind you I'm working at Shaw now doing thier tech support, and I helped a guy get his Windows 3.1 back online a few weeks ago.

I'm suprised Shaw even supports 3.1 at all.

Ha ha! Windows 3.1, too funny. If I were you, I'd have been like, "buy a new computer...then we'll talk"

oh they dont, he was lucky, the modem was offline, all we had to do was ground the coax cable, plug it back in and it worked, or he was on his own, heh
