Rhetorical question, but just wondering why everyone quit folding? I think Zeus is folding on his Zune for his 34 PPD contribution.
Seriously though, I'm feeling lonely!

I just wanted to give you a good head start before I take you down!

I used to fold on my main desktop. I no longer have a desktop. I have a laptop. I also used to fold on my HTPC. I now have an xbox. I'm not even sure what is still folding - probably my wife's computer. I'll have to fire up a test rig and get folding again before the summer heat kills me in my office.

What is folding? :(

This link will probably explain it better than I ever could....

I haven't folded in about 2 years, mainly because I no longer have a desktop, and my laptop fan gets way to loud when its folding (if my laptop is left on that is).
I'm looking to set up a server to act as a NAS / sandbox for backup and recovery stuff in the next month or so. I'll reinstall it when I get that rig up and running.

I stopped folding a while ago. I really couldn't stand the 2D lag I would get when folding with my 9600GSO.

I don't know if it still holds true or not but the 9600 GSO used to be the best card for the price vs. PPD. I'm still living in an apartment with free electricity so... I'd imagine I'll probably slow down once I see my first electric bill!

I have been using ATI cards for a while which are horrible for folding so I haven't folded in a while. I recented hopped back over to the green team so I should probably re-download the client.

Yes the 9600 GSO is a great folding card for the money; I still get ~4500 ppd from mine. It's also quiet unlike the GTX 480 when folding.

I swapped out my 5850 Toxic for a GTX 480 because the 5850 only got as many ppd as my 9600 GSO! The 480 is pumping out ~14500 ppd.

Definitely, especially when NCIX were selling them at $40 after MIR a while back! That was a great moment to get a mini folding farm up and running! ;)

I had a couple of Xeon servers running folding for a while but I gave up when they were getting killed by GPU's and probably using about 10x more power
