Even the military uses Android (http://www.wired.com/dangerroom/2010/10/special-forces-want-android-apps-for-warzone-john-maddens/) 3:58
If nothing else, it shows that the Android platform is stable enough for the Special Forces and they are able to use reliable enough consumer hardware to make this happen.  Im sure that Google, Motorola, HTC and Samsung are pretty darn excited about this.

Nexus Two Rumors (http://www.afterdawn.com/news/article.cfm/2010/10/30/more_details_on_nexus_two_surface) 12:39
Although Jason thinks that Ill be hopping the bandwagon and jumping on the Nexus Two, Im still very partial to my Nexus One.  Still, a faster processor, better screen, more storage and once again, that pure Android experience is a pretty hard thing to beat.  Keep your eyes and ears tuned to WTU and BCCHardware as well have more details as they emerge.

Barnes & Noble release the Color Nook (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2371582,00.asp?kc=PCRSS03069TX1K0001121) 16:39
While many people had their hopes on color e-Ink, I think the low-cost alternative of LCD-based color eBook readers will overthrow the less contrasty color eInk out the window.  Case in point Nook color.  Its an Android tablet that has a nice screen, WiFi and a whole lot more for a mere $249.  Oh, and you can read books on it.

Nvidia GTX 580 Rumors and Rumblings (http://www.nordichardware.com/news/71-graphics/41570-the-geforce-gtx-580-mystery-is-clearing.html) 23:36
Well, we were wrong regarding the AMD Radeon HD 6800 series as being a speed boost from the 5800 series and the fall SKU refresh for AMD.  NVIDIA seems to be taking advantage of that as more details of their boosted GTX 580 are starting to spread.  This will feature all 512 CUDA cores that were supposed to launch with the GTX 480 so really, the 580 is what the 480 was supposed to be.  Still, it should knock AMD from the top spot until the HD 6900 series launches.

Mount Everest Gets 3G Service (http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2371750,00.asp) 30:15
If you are tired of being on the overpopulated AT&T network at your local metropolis, there is an alternative location that seems to not have a lot of network congestion.  Mt. Everest.  Take a hike and get better reception and bandwidth than your buddies.  Hey, you could event Qik or Ustream your climb!

Yes, the Macbook Air is Now That Good (http://techcrunch.com/2010/10/26/13-inch-macbook-air-review/) 32:21
TechCrunch has a look at the new Macbook Air and finds that this upgraded unit has enough power to make them set aside their Macbook Pro at least for a while.  It features a Core 2 Duo chip at 1.86GHz as well as 11 and 13 models starting at under $1000.  Overall, the price to performance ratio is pretty solid for an Apple product.  Wow.  A positive Apple story at WTU!

Microsoft to be Phasing Out Silverlight (http://www.zdnet.com/blog/microsoft/microsoft-our-strategy-with-silverlight-has-shifted/7834) 37:37
Although Silverlight isnt dead (yet), Microsoft is putting a lot of effort into HTML 5 as a major web standard.  This is actually really good news as it will be much more convenient for consumers to just use the web installing all these different plugins and players.

Microsoft Enables Netflix in Canada on Windows Phone 7 and Xbox 360 (http://www.bcchardware.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=9270&Itemid=1) 40:00
