Title: Lenovo Lays Off More Moto Workers
Post by: Zeus on September 26, 2016, 09:01:32 PM
Lenovo may be a global giant in the smartphone market, but that doesn't mean they are super secure either. Their Moto(rola) division has just layed off hundreds of more workers as they are trying to stay competitive. Motorola is one of those brands that I'm still very comfortable with, but if they have to trim the fat too much - I'm afraid their legendary quality will suffer.

Today’s layoffs follow significant cuts last year, where Lenovo reduced its headcount by 3,200 across the company. In a statement provided to The Verge, Lenovo says the most current round of layoffs “are part of the ongoing strategic integration between Lenovo and its Motorola smartphone business as the company further aligns its organization and streamlines its product portfolio to best compete in the global smartphone market.”Source: TheVerge (http://www.theverge.com/2016/9/26/13065078/lenovo-layoffs-motorola-mobility)
