News / Re: Trendnet Powerline 500AV2 Adapter Kit
« on: January 04, 2015, 03:41:06 PM »
I am really tempted in getting a powerline adapter. NCIX regularly has the TP-Link TL-PA4010KIT AV500 and the 4TRENDnet TPL-406E2K starter kits going for $30. I have a PC in the basement (2 floor + basement house) and it gets decent speeds (2 MB/s on network transfers) but I suspect a powerline would be better. The only thing is that the building is old and I'm not sure if the electrical wiring would make it possible use the powerline.

News / Re: NZXT Kraken X60 Liquid CPU Cooler

Excellent cooling performance from the NZXT Kraken X60 (as well as the Kraken X40 in the other review). How was performance when the silent profile for the fan speed was selected? I personally would think that a 2000 RPM 140mm fan would be quite noisy and it wouldn't be something I'd use on a daily basis.

I made the shownotes shorter this week - without the commentary.  Please let me know if you prefer the commentary or like the shortened version better.  Thanks!

Shownotes are nice to have, but they're not essential. I'm okay with the shortened version!

Portal #4? Seriously? It's an interesting and original concept for a game, but the same also applies to many indie games out there. Overrated game honestly.

General Mayhem / Re: Craigslist - Kijiji
« on: December 04, 2010, 08:25:40 AM »
I usually sell things off Kijiji and Craigslist rather than eBay.

Craigslist is a hit-and-miss for me. For one, people usually lowball me more often over there. I don't seem to get as much replies than at Kijiji either.

Kijiji is okay, but I've had 3-4 guys leave me in the cold by not coming to our rendez-vous (even after multiple confirmations).

Otherwise, I've sold 20+ computer parts without too much trouble. The trick is usually getting their phone number/cell number. If anything sounds fishy or too cumbersome for me (inconvenient rendez-vous time, spot, etc.), then I don't deal with them. It's not worth my time.

I personally don't buy anything off Kijiji/Craigslist unless it's something that I cannot buy online.

Gosh, this is crap.  I'm getting a hold of them AGAIN today.

Sorry guys, please note that we are doing our best and have delivered on what we promised.  We just expect these companies to do the same.  Thanks for your patience.

What's up with those companies? They're making BCCHardware look bad! :(

Things are looking good on my side. Nice new theme!

Any chance we can get nice blue buttons for "Reply, Notify, Mark unread, Send this topic, Print" for forum posts?

Plain text is so passé  ;D

Arctic products does a lot of the plastic molding for other companies.  Maybe they even made the mouse body for these companies.  We met a company that makes the headphones for Seinheiser.
Possibly. The thing is that I thought Microsoft designed all of their mice in-house. I may be mistaken.
