Its one of those "have to" play games that is so spectacular in it's awesomeness that you just want to drool.

P.s. Some of the above sayings are just for effect, but it is still an awesome game

I lik my weather first thing in the morning, it gets me ready if I take th C-train to school, therefore I installed CFCN@WORK. It drives me up the wall because It has this annoying message saying something like "THis ia Davis Spences.... Blah blah blah " every time I open it up, (it used to start up whenI booted) At one point It was good But now I hate it , and yet I need it

Quick Q&A / Message boards & Servers
« on: June 11, 2003, 04:05:42 AM »
Well,   Im Back.
I just came From accross canada, and Had lots of fun.
Now I have to get back to work, so I have a couple of questions about message boards and webservers.

I have to set up a message board with the following ideas in mind:

1) All accross there is lots of YWAM (youth with a mission) bases (23 to be exact), I want to give them each a  SINGLE thread that they can moderate.

2) This Message board is to be used as a  News page with
info on whats going on in YWAM Canada. So a Calender could be useful, but it is not nessasary.

3) I want a public  (Member signup ???) and a private (thread where every base leader can post, but noone else) thread going.

My questions are:

1> If anyone has experience with a message board that is quick and easy to learn and can do these thing, please let me know, where I can find it! ( I might have to call for help)

2> I need to get a Canadian Web server to put this on.
( since it is for YWAM canada, I need to have a Canadian server)

Thanks so much

General Mayhem / Ut 2003 Epic Bonuspack
« on: March 16, 2003, 06:03:06 PM »
The bonuspack was recently released and it features three new gametypes. 1: invation - where you kill these annoying insect type creatures, that spawn every couple of minutes. 2: last man standing  3: mutant - a funny version of "go after the score leader".
I think these could be fun playing at a lan, but it wont beat the CTF/DM game types.
Also Lots of new maps - mostly DM maps, but also 2 CTF maps.

Operating Systems & Software / Win 98 the Winner!?
« on: April 01, 2003, 04:44:14 PM »
Recently I InstalledA Game Called the Elder scrolls: Morrowind. A RPG I drooled over for a few months last year.  Now For the past Few weeks I have tried to play this game in using a Win XP Pro. O/S. WHich I think May just have been a bad Idea. The game does have some problems with Win XP, But only Memory allocation problems, Which I ( being a Little unknowledgeable in the area) think would not hit my Performance  much. Some Days I had no problems with memory allocation, but other days I couoldn't play for 5 minutes, before a CTD( due to Memory problems).   I tried everything to tweak XP to run this game properly, but to no avail.
I decided to go back to Win 98, And for the last couple of Days I have had no problems whatsoever. No CTD'd or any other memory allocation  problems.  Not Only that, but Morrowind seems to run at least 5 times faster with Win 98  than with XP. Load and save times have been cut to a quarter with Win 98 O/S.

This is only one game,  And I am not Saying that Win 98 is the best O/S allround( I still like The stability, and features a little more that Win 98), But in this case, it did beat out XP.

I am Just wondering if there is any other anomalies like this, where 98 give out more performance in a game than Xp does?
