For Sale/Trade / Fatal1ty FS-C77

Brand new Fatal1ty FS-C77 cpu fan. Won it at the LAN party and I decided not to install. With my ram fan next to my processor I am running much cooler so I am going to use the money for something else. I'm selling it for $60 and it's down at Dallmann's shop if you want to take a look. It works with:
Intel Socket 775 and 478, and AMD Socket 754, 939, and 940.

Quick Q&A / Speaker issues

I noticed it before but didn't pay much attention to it until now but my rear speakers don't seem to work properly. I know it's something to do with my computer and not the speakers themselves because my last set of speakers did this too. Instead of sound going to my rear left speaker it goes to my center speaker and instead of going to my rear right speaker it goes to my sub. I have a gigabyte am2 motherboard and i am using realtek sound manager.

Quick Q&A / computer won't start

yesterday i was starting up my computer when i noticed it said i have a 1800+ again instead of a 2400+. like before i went into the fsb to raise it so it would work again and accidentally set it to 166/166 instead of 133/133. when i tried booting my computer the power would come on but then nothing would happen and my monitor remained on stand by. is there a way i can get back into the fsb to lower it so it will run again?

Quick Q&A / Processor problems

The other day I was having issues with a game and the first thing I checked was the requirements to make sure I had everything. I went into run and typed dxdiag and all that and when I read what my computer has as a processor it said a different one than what I have. According to it I have a AMD Athlon XP 1800+ when I know I have a AMD Athlon XP 2400+. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this myself? Or am I going to have to take in my computer? It seems to be affecting the game because the error has to do with the processor and the 1800+ does not meet the requirements I need for the game.

Quick Q&A / Undeletable file

I was downloading a file to my desktop and the download hit an error and wouldn't finish. I cancelled the download and then tried to delete what there was of the file. When i went to delete it it said it was in use. I checked processes and it wasn't in there and i checked the download screen for firefox (was downlaoding it in firefox) and it wasn't there. I tried going into safe mode to delete it and it said it was in use even then. Is there a way to get rid of it?

Earlier my cousin accidentaly got a virus on her computer. Suddenly it sent me an automated message on msn with a link... i accidentaly clicked on the link and got the virus. I don't know to much about this virus other than it is not noticed by most virus scanners, it sends automated messages on msn, and it stops a lot of programs from starting. I have tried searching it on the net with no success because there are some similar viruses to it with procedures that didn't work, or i had to buy some program before they'd give me information. My cousin told me that some one at her worked removed it for her but she didn't pay attention so she wasn't able to help me. I was wondering if some one on here could help me. Some stuff that may help are screensaver.scr (file the installed the vrus), http://checkthis.100mbitde.info/ (the site it came from), w32 kelvir or just kelvir (part of what i think the virus name is). please help... be much appreciated.

A little while ago i was moving a file in a network folder onto my computer when all of the sudden it quit doing anything. I went back into the network neighborhood to try it again and all of the folders were gone. I went on the other computers here to see if the folder would appear on them but they wouldn't. I checked the software firewalls on the computers and they are turned off so i tried sharing the folders again and they wouldn't appear on the network. I tried using a ping thing in ms dos (that sounded funny) that bin drinkin told me to try and there was a ping from the other computers. I am not sure what to do so does anyone have any ideas?

It is really hard to get a hold of my friend (bullrider) ao i am not able to help him get desert combat set up. everytime i phone him he is not there, etc. because he is busy so i thought i'd just say you might as well remove him from the teams because i am not able to get him set up to play.
