I've been lost in League of Legends since about April last year. I came up for air to see if the Vulclan lanparty was  scheduled. That would be Awesome if there was a tournament in League of Legends! It's my new Unreal Tournament drug.

Advertising works.  It's true.  I never wanted to buy an Ultrabook until I saw this commercial.

I spotted this demo the other day and thought it looked pretty cool.  Sadly, if this was downloadable/playable, I'd probably spend too much time breaking up the bits and then dragging stuff through them... I should just get a sandbox again.

That demo really needed a shovel and bucket. I lost interest in watching it after 20 seconds, but I left if running as I read the next news post. Then I looked up and I was wondering when  the bigger pieces were going to get broken up.. Any guesses when this ga... ahem, physics program will be released?

Not Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2?
Not Call of Duty: Black Ops?
Not the soon to be released Call of Duty: MW3?
Really the CoD4 that was released in 2007 that I think I spent the most time playing of all the CoD games?
I think I will have to install the game on my Windows 7 partition. Wonder if it will run on my Google Nexus S..

Your desktop will be just fine Zeus. Though think of all the money I would save if everyone played on those laptops.. $4 maybe? 

I got all the tables setup and network switches setup. And I am already setup.. Bring your network cable as I might be a few shy.

And just to make sure we start on the right foot, there is a free movie playing at the Cineplex! Starting at 9:20AM Saturday morning is the Green Lantern.
Doors open at 8:30 so I am guessing it is first come first server. This might be a good place to stand around sipping on Tim Hortons before the movie and talk computer stuff.

I didn't even realize it was the fourth year of the lanparty at my place until my auto complete filled in last years subject version 3.0.

Well I have been putting off telling everyone that I have a lanparty at my place this Saturday October 22nd. Allot of people heard it from my mouth, but if I hadn't bumped into you in the last two months, you might not have heard.

Everyone is welcomed. I'd say everyone I game with, but I haven't been doing allot of gaming (read: target!)
I got plenty of wood for the stove. And tomorrow I am going to make sure I get the power cables figured out so Zeus doesn't try to fry his computer with the half a city block of power he needs. 

Well I hope to see everyone there.

Battlefield 3 Ready?

If you are getting excited for Battlefield 3 but want to make sure your PC is up to the task, NVIDIA has posted up a nice little GPU analyzer  that will help you determine if you need to spend another $500 on your system before you get the game.

Awe man. My GeForce 9800 GTX isn't good enough for Battlefield 3. Guess I'm going to have to play Call of Duty then.

Looks like the Samsung Galaxy S II is hitting stores in the United States on August 29th. This hasn't been confirmed officially yet but all the signs point to this being the case. The new version of the Galaxy S is going to feature a 4.5" screen, a bigger battery, LTE support (for faster downloads), and will be running Android's Gingerbread OS. Engadget ha. . .

My friend picked one of these up at Cosco last month.. Canada got the phone before the US?

No I have not played the Steam version. I started playing this free game and thought it kinda sucked. And then half an hour later I couldn't stop myself from seeing what was next.

What do you do if you're a big technology player - a huge technology player that want to try and be hip?  You hire a "musician" that knows nothing about technology - except that Xbox 360 is cooler than PS3 - and call him your "Director of Creative Innovation".  Nicely done Intel. This is about as wonderful as ha. . .

Intel can now say their i7's run cool overclocked. Because they lied and they cheated and they lied a little more.

 Looking forward to mid-March. That will be such a close game when Terror and SharksWFLB take out Epi and Nicao.. Short lived mind you, until they meet their fate in the finals with broknecho and I.   
Practice up for second place boys, cause Echo and I have a title to re-claim.

If you consider yourself a "true" computer geek, you've probably played around with Linux.  My opinion is that if you haven't compiled your own kernel, you're a noob.  I've done it once, but I still didn't score well on this Linux IQ test.  Take a look and see if you score better than 11 out of 20.
