I am a student there currently, I'll be on the lookout for advertising! although I will not be able to attend project X this particular year.  :(

@zeus, when you say you bought it through steam, means you bought the HD version of the original? I don't think that will be compatible with the original original lol  :)

Good news for Nvidia fans, the newest DirectX 11 compatible video cards from the green team are going to be launched on March 26, 2010. The GTX 480/470 series of cards are based on the "Fermi" platform (GF100) and should be pretty decent if you want top end performance. HotHardware has more on the launch, the rumors, and the known facts of the GF100 cards over here. [. . .

Is it just me or aren't these cards the same ones that had a less than 2% turnout rate from manufacturing?

General Mayhem / Re: [Frontpage News]Civilization V announced for PC

Heh, I also saw this announced a couple days ago...and I agree with Project X, however I have never played the original I do like the simplicity of Civ III, although probably not quite as simple as the original ;) I definately like the introduction of hexagonal tiles, I think that's a great improvement.

Looking forward to the game, but probably won't buy it...too short on cash to even buy Supreme Commander 2 so CIV V is probably a ways down my purchase list.

I'm curious, is there any interest for a TF2 tournament? maybe 4v4 or something similar to that? I know one of my friends has a TF2 server and would probably be willing to set it up for Vulclan....

Yes going on what Fujitsu said, I'm running an I7 on a corsair 520w PSU, and its running just fine. I would definitely upgrade the proc/mobo/ram first then go for the other stuff.

I would guess it would run just fine, I ran win7 on a single core athlon 3000, and 1gb of ddr1 ram, and it runs very smoothly.
