Pretty neat how Bungie built a 1200 foot diorama and used it for this ad.  :)

Wow, you're lucky Slugbug. That Hyper 212 must be a new model. You might be the first to own, and review it!  O0

Operating Systems & Software / Re: Google readies PowerPoint killer

OpenOffice should probably be compatible with Office 2007, though with the older formats from 2003. Office 2007 introduces a new formats, such as docx for Word. No idea if OpenOffice supports that. Hopefully Google's alternative to powerpoint will allow to import powerpoint 2007 and other formats...

I just bought myself a new mouse: Logitech G7 Laser Cordless Mouse. Pretty good, though the batteries drain pretty fast in my opinion; I always end up charging it after a day's use (I do not think that's going to be good for the lifetime of the batteries).

Half the fun of any game is multi player and if I buy a game like Civ4, I want to play multi player with my wife, who also enjoys playing. It's been the norm for most of these types of multi player games to only require the CD at start time and then you can move the CD to a new station. In fact, if I recall, Command & Conquer advocated doing this so that more people would play their game and, ultimately, if a visiting friend liked it, they would buy it.
Really? Wow... I did not know that. Very kind of companies such as those game publishers to allow such practice. I like how Monolith gave the multiplayer portion of FEAR freely to the public too.

I wouldn't want to be under them...

Hundreds of blackbirds swirl in the evening sky over Beaconsfield Court as they prepare to descend on the suburban street. The huge autumn roost has residents demanding that city hall do something.

Every night just before dusk, dark clouds of what are really dense flocks of blackbirds swish this way and that way across the Beaconsfield sky, their droppings sounding just like heavy rain.

I can't seem to find it via Shopbot.ca or PriceCanada.ca yet. I don't mind really though, not interested in purchasing one for myself. Way to expensive compared to my generic keyboard  :smitten:

Operating Systems & Software / Google readies PowerPoint killer

I hope it will have some good fullscreen slideshow capabilities just like PowerPoint :)

SURE AS EGGS ARE EGGS, it’s been known for a long while that Google will at some point take on PowerPoint with a web-based presentations package. The breaking news is that the coming-out party for the software is any day now.

Called Presently, the slideshow program is likely to be based in part on code Google bought through the acquisitions of Zenter and Tonic Systems earlier this year.

Awww... I used to use AutoPatcher and used it whenever the Full version came out. I really hated downloading updates from Windows Update website because I disabled the Automatic Updates service. I guess we gotta go back to the old ways. :(

Contests & Hot Deals / Re: [Frontpage News]July Contest
« on: September 14, 2007, 08:51:44 PM »
Do bad about your issue Luvlyan but the receipt needed to RMA your PSU is BS in my view. I know its a requirement that Ultra insists on but how can you provide an invoice if you won it in a contest? Maybe Zeus can email his Ultra contact and try to work something out.
Yeah, the invoice is a strange requirement, especially for contests, but I think it's just a mixup between the technical department and the marketing team. Actually, Zeus is working something out with Ultra Products and he is making some progress.  O0

My God, that looks gorgeous. I doubt that my computer will be handle it; it barely handles Unreal Tournament 2004 at peek moments!

With all these problems going on, you would expect the sales of Bioshock going down, or maybe the programmers to rethink what they did. Yet, a sequel to the game is coming it seems...

And I thought Ideazon only made gaming keysets!
The MSRP is quite high in my opinion. Surely there are some software out there (possibly free too) that can macro the keys on a generic keyboard to achieve the same goals as the Ideazon Business Solution Keysets, but at a lower price?
