General Mayhem / [Frontpage News]Apple Censorship
« on: July 13, 2010, 11:11:37 AM »

I love living in a free country.  God bless Canada and the USA.  I love living in a country where we have freedom of speech and can say what we want, declare truth and not worry about the corporate engine mowing us down.  Apparently, Apple loves this too and loves to delete posts that contain bad publicity  and spread the truth about the crappy iPhone. . .

same thing is happening to bad press about modern warfare 2....delete

"Activision and their game developers are dominating the Google News Headlines with less then 6 talking heads and the majority of the CoD buying community can only ventilate their feelings on an official but censored CoD forum. These official CoD forums are made 'not-crawlable" for all search engines !"

If it's yellow - and I'm playing as a french soldier - then yes.

Well i guess I would have to buy the predator camo bandana...a little more expensive but harder to see than yellow lol.

If they could guarantee to be able to stop cheaters 100%, It might be good thing.

I still think dedicated servers are and always will be the way to go with fps games.

I believe you did sir...this is the latest interview with Kotick.

lol you want to spend 5$ on a bandana to make your character look pretty?

Kotick: "Call of Duty with an online subscription service..."
Saturday, June 19 2010 @ 09:27 PM BST

by Vrandas
In an other recent interview Activision CEO, Bobby Kotick, was asked what he would like to change. And, of course, he picked something we, the CoD Gamers, want. His actual words are that we "are clamoring for it..."

The Kotick interview in the Wall Street Journal (Duhhh... what did you expect ??) :

WSJ: If you could snap your fingers, and instantly make one change in your company, what would it be, and why?
Kotick: I would have Call of Duty be an online subscription service tomorrow. When you think about what the audience’s interests are and how you could really satisfy bigger audiences with more inspired, creative opportunities, I would love to see us have an online Call of Duty world. I think our players would just have so much of a more compelling experience.
WSJ: Is that coming?

Kotick: Hopefully.

WSJ: Are the customers ready for it?

Kotick: I think our audiences are clamoring for it. If you look at what they’re playing on Xbox Live today, we’ve had 1.7 billion hours of multiplayer play on Live. I think we could do a lot more to really satisfy the interests of the customers. I think we could create so many things, and make the game even more fun to play. We haven’t really had a chance to do that yet, so that would be my snap of the fingers.

My opinion is that most CoD gamers love to claymore this idea !

Is B. Kotick really thinking that Call of Duty gamers are the same as WoW players ???

"... how you could really satisfy bigger audiences with more inspired, creative opportunities,..."
Like that flying horse Activision/Blizzard recently started to sell to their World of Warcraft kids for 20 EURO ???

This in-game horse made Activision/Blizzard 2 million dollars in first 4 hours.

So does he mean that HE wants to sell in-game outfits or weapons to the CoD Fanbase ?

"... I think we could do a lot more to really satisfy the interests of the customers. ..."

Well Kotick is spot on with that one. But for this there is no need for an online subscription service....

Just sell us a well working game without a HEAPS of errors.
For those who just tuned in : CoD Modern Warfare 2 = AN ONLINE MISERY !!!

General Mayhem / [Frontpage News]Is it time to ditch Windows XP?
« on: June 11, 2010, 08:52:53 AM »

Believe it or not, but Windows XP is still the dominate OS (still on over 50% of PC's globally), but is it time to finally give XP the boot and join the Windows 7 party? take a close look at Windows XP and give their thoughts on why it just might be time to do the upgrade.

IT departments need to dump Microsoft's Windows XP operating system
   (OS). . .
I use XP. I refuse to upgrade
