Looks like it will be a good time (but then again what LAN party isn't?).

Even though I don't play any of the games in the major tourneys I'm hoping the timing works out so that I can make an appearance this time around, maybe some of the other VulcLAN people will come and play Red Alert 2 against me all weekend.....

It would be great to meet up! The great thing about these bigger events is that there is more casual game play throughout the weekend.

I haven't made a post about this on BCC yet but we will be awarding the top placing teams with custom trophy's. Not to mention that the first 200 people registered & prepaid will get a custom dog tag with their username on it.

Hello BCC :D

Sponsor update: The PEREGRINE company will be coming on board to sponsor the League of Legends tournament and contributing over $2,000 in prizes.

Psyko Audio, FrozenQ & Gigabyte will also be supporting the event with an assortment of swag.

Brian Ymbang from Investors group will be contributing a $500 cash pool to the SC2 tournament as well.

We have well over 5k in prizes for this event and we are projecting that it will be closer to 10k come the actual event. Huzzah ^_^

I guess I should have gone over and promoted VulcLAN... Ah well.  Always glad to help a fellow gamer geek out!

Not sure if you guys are aware but we are promoting VulcLAN in our community section on our website and if you click on it it shares even more information. If you wanna come up to the major event and do a plug we're fine with that. Wanna help run an aspect of the event? Just let us know! We'd enjoy having some more local veterans at the event. We are one of Calgary's most active LAN party groups & we host an event of some kind every single month.

Seeker, I am unaware of anyone coming down to this upcoming VulcLAN however we'd like to come check it out when it works for everyone's schedule. (Perhaps we should conspire on dates Zeus) As I said in the previous post to your question..  I (one of the head organizers) can't make it out as I am working Saturday & it is my Birthday Sunday in which I have other obligations. I attempted to get both days off from my current work contract  however it didn't work out that way.  Hopefully that answers your question to your satisfaction.

How are things looking for the upcoming LAN?

Just about ready, bunch of little things to get done but thats what the night before the event is for...right?

I have a lot of fond memories of last minute cable wrapping our configuring servers... yay.. :D

Does anybody from the this Project X plan to attend Vulclan this year???  So far all I see is alot of spam promoting Project X..... just curious.... I don't get on this website to often and all or most posts have to do with this... btw its this weekend if you wondering.... ;)

Well for the record none of us have made it to their event either, haha, but that could be due to them booking it everytime for when I'm away...

Wait- this event falls on your vacation time as well?? Well.. I haven't plugged it yet on here but we are doing another LAN party lite event May 12-13.
