Working on peoples computer all the time, I realize I disable alot of peoples screen savers.. I haven't had a screen saver installed in a long time myself.
So I was thinking outloud, do tech people still install screen savers? And is it kool to use one on an LCD?

I use the power off feature too. Screensavers mostly drive me batty.

I just usually leave the Windows default flag, and have the monitor power off after 10 mins. But I tried a couple other screen savers not too long ago and I found they ended up just putting my system to work just trying to run the things. So off they went and back to the windows default.
And yes, back when I was doing tech work, I ended up disabling a lot of them on customer's machines, in most times it was because I was running a virus scan and the screen saver would come on and the machine would lock up. Thus making me have to restart the whole thing.

I still have my screen saver on but I have no clue why... I used to have it on just so that I could have a few nice pics to look at now and then while waiting for games lol. But now I usually just shut off my screen whenever I am not around.
