New(Upgraded) Forum!
« on: June 25, 2003, 04:09:14 AM »
Last night we upgraded and moved the Forum.  It's now running on PHP & SQL, and should be quite a bit faster.

What do you all think of the new look? Do you notice any improvement in speed?

Yes it's faster for us highspeed users definitely, but I think that it  is more due to the server move than the forum change.  I sure like the install/upgrade procedures much better than the perl/cgi version.  Now if we can all the links updated, thing will be peachy.

Just a question, but is there any way to be able to start polls with these particular forums?? I've seen them on other forums, and they are sorta cool, and I've seen sites that provide the software/code to do it, I was just wondering if these forums would be able to do that??

Yes polls are allowed.  Instead of clicking on "new topic", just click on "new poll".

Maybe, but don't do it just cause of me, I could always go and remake my avatar and make it a dif. size, I just made it this way cause the old forums used to limit the size and it just shrunk it to a good size (I think?)

I resized them, it was easier than making everyone make their pics to match the criteria.  No problem.
