BCCHardware Podcast #1
« on: December 10, 2006, 10:26:17 PM »
We have launched the first ever BCCHardware Podcast, and it was interesting to say the least.  In this first Podcast, we talk about BCCHardware - a bit about where we've come from in the past year, and some super exciting new things in the future.  We don't have a catchy title for the Podcast - and would like some input from you listeners.  We plan to expand the podcast in the future to include panel discussions, and possibly interviews with people in tech.

Take a look and listen to our first go round.  I hope you enjoy!

I'm amazed at the growth you guys have experienced over the past year.  Over 1000%, just incredible.

By the way, can we look forward to hearing Fujitsu :idiot2:  on future broadcasts? ;D

We may here Fujitsu as he gives us all the top secrets from IBM.  Nicao would also be a good person to talk to as he can tell us how much programming with Microsoft software sucks.  I know that many other companies have PR departments that do interviews as well, so we'll try and keep things interesting.

At this point the podcast won't be a weekly feature - maybe every two weeks or once a month for now.

I'm not allowed to be on the podcast because I say "stupid things" and "make facts up"

but on a serious note, podcast turned out really well, zeus let the cat out of the bag on a whole lotta new products, events, happenings

Honestly, that's what editing is for.  I couldn't remember a whole bunch of stuff.  So Jaymo cut and pasted the "good" and "accurate" clips together.

That was put together well. I wasn't really aware that the site has grown by 1000% in the last year. Good Job. I have noticed all the sponsors though, good to see Memory Express onboard. They are my first choice when buying computer stuff.

Good Podcast, looking forward to more.

When I first stated 1000%, I questioned myself and took a look at our stats before Solton edited things.  Indeed we have grown 1000% in the past year.  Thanks to Nicao, we've had a server that can handle the load.  Previously we used shared hosting on one of the internets many too-crowded servers and had frequent problems.  Although we've had a few growing pains, even on Nicao's solid server, we experienced a much more reliable server and this has helped the whole site grow.

Nothing is more irritating that trying to go to a site you enjoy and at least once a week they are down.

Thanks for the positive feedback - anybody have any ideas on a name though?

Where is the site being hosted from now? I know you've made a number of changes over the years.

Did you know that 67.3% of statistics are made up on the spot?

  ^-^

The first podcast has been a learning experience, and I think with a bit of planning it could be a great project going forward. Can't wait to get other people in.
