Ahh well, I'll just have to stick with using Google Docs, which by the way is very handy for basic word processing

Google Docs is awesome, I hate MS office on the mac, so its all I use on my macbook, and now pretty much all I use on my pc as well. The only thing it doesn't do well is complex excel spreadsheets (like my 20 tab schedule I get emailed to me from work), and for that I prefer Neo Office for Mac, Which is just a OS X friendly version of the Open Office suite.

Yep, Google Docs is a good alternative. There isn't any competitive alternative to PowerPoint though I think. Plus, kinda creepy letting Google take a large part of your life (Desktop, Earth, Docs, Email, Search, etc.)
