Ultra X3 800W Modular PSU

We have just posted up a review of the shiny new X3 800W PSU.  This PSU uses a single 60A rail to provide enough power for a couple of 8800GTX graphics cards and an overclocked Quad Core processor - with room to spare.  If you are thinking of getting a new PSU for your rig, you should really take a look at this review before you drop your cash.

With our test system running wide open, we see the X3 800W stumble on the Tektronix TDS2002 Scope.  The average voltages are still high, and if you're testing with a multi-meter or a software program you'll be quite happy.  The truth is though the PSU tests out of spec at this load as the 3.3v line is now measured at 58mV - higher than the 50mV allowable measurement. . .

I'm not usually impressed by a PSU but that thing is sweet! That modular design is awesome!

Yes, the modular design is quite nice. The cables are pretty awesome as well - very flexible!
