Thats funny, I remember when people where doing all sorts of that kind of stuff back in the day, I remember seeing folding clusters of XBOX consoles, just funny to see all these years later that they are still serving their purpose

To funny!!! Hey we just upgraded to a xbox for the kids lmao I know what your thinking... But a good read for sure... would like to know more about changing one of these units... I hear that you can do a lot with these   ::)

I hard modded my xbox and am running XBMC (xbox media center) on it.  It has worked really really great for standard definition stuff and will play every file format I've thrown at it.

The soft-mod seems to be quite the process, almost looks like hard-modding is the way to go if you've got some good soldering skills

The article is from 2006, but I just saw it on Digg a few days ago.

This soft modding of the Xbox sounds like a possibility for me. Mine has just been sitting around collecting dust for years.
