Friday of last week is when I upgraded my video card. I replaced the older X800GTO2 @ 16ps/6vs to a nice BFG 7900GT OC. I slapped the Zalman VF900cu on it and it stays at 41C load! :)

I'm probably going to end up replacing the power supply as well. 

Update: I replaced my crummy old Antec TrueBlue 480w with a nice OCZ GXS 600w.  O0

I just picked up two 250 GB seagate Sata II 16 MB Cache w/NCQ (7200.10) to drop into a raid 1 to replace my 80 GB drive that I lost this weekend. I got tired of running out of space on my main machine while working on video and large rar files, so I sold off my old 200 that was my D drive after the 80 kicked it, and am now the proud owner of 500 GB internal storage, 550 GB NAS storage and 250 GB USB Storage (redundant).

Picked up a Seagate 320GB SATA 2 hard drive today. Think I may get 2 more and do another RAID 5 array in the server.

AMD Athlon 64 3800+ x2, Nvidia Geforce 7600 GT, New motherboard, can't remember what kind, and a gb of ram. So far, i'm loving it lol. Finally got rid of that 2400+

I picked up the Logitech Z-5500 speakers.  These have a 3" driver per satellite and a 10" sub - they sound much better  than my old speakers - in fact they reproduce the artifacts from my old 96kbit MP3's.  Now I'll have to rip everything to FLAC or Monkey's Audio.

A few things:

The NEC 3540A decided to crash my system while playing DVD's. In return, that got switched out for a new LG GSA-H22N.  :smitten:
The next item was a set of Logitech X-530's to replace the 6 year old Cambridge Soundworks 2.1 system. Seeing that my new place has an FM relay station nearby, the old 2.1's were picking up radio frequencies.  :P

I picked up an HP iPaq to replace my flaky Palm Tungsten T5.  The T5 would power on randomly and my WiFi quit.  When I sent it out for repair (bought the extended warranty for $30 at the time), they lost my WiFi card and wouldn't replace it.

I upgraded to this so I've got Windows Mobile, built in WiFi, Bluetooth a 520MHz processor and two expansion slots.


I've got TCPMP on it as a media player and can watch full motion DivX at 320x240 at 30fps on this little beauty.  So far I'm very happy with it.  I benchmarked DivX 6 video playback at 77.8FPS. . . My 416Mhz Palm could only pull a 35FPS average.  Better software, better platform in my opinion.  We'll see how it holds up.

The tradeup cost me $30 as they replaced my T5 with this if I paid the difference.  Not a bad deal.

Just picked up a Canon S3 IS 6 MP digital camera. Got an awesome deal on it through usedcalgary.com, only downside was I had to drive to Okotoks to pick it up ( I live in Airdrie)

My Samsung SyncMaster 305T just arrived and I'm pretty happy with it so far.  This is a 30" unit that runs at 2560x1600 - 6ms gtg.
