As good as you say that recorder you are using is, it sounds clearly bad. Unless you're in a 10X10 cell.. then maybe some outside recording would work better? any park benches with better acoustics maybe? All in all, I prefer the echo over the alternative of no Weekly Tech Updates from CeBIT.

I remember selling allot of Sceptre monitors. I still have a few pink and green plush monitor lizards around.
I would love to see that 3D video camera in action. I just saw Avatar the other day, maybe I could make my own 3D movie.

First of all, yes, we are in a 10x10 cell, our hotel room is literally a 10x10, lol. We are working on some "alterative" plans for WTU and hopefully will be back up and going for tomorrow if all goes well.

2nd, I'm a skeptic of the whole 3D fad that is going around CES and CeBIT, however as bad as some of the demos were of 3D TV's, they were light years ahead of the "consumer" 3D video camera that we saw, basically its going to be quite some time until you get one of these (and even longer until you get one that can fit into your pocket).

Wow did I call it on the 10X10 cell. So the mic was picking up exactly what it was given (little room with acoustics)? Listened to Episode #38, you were sounding alot more professional Fujitsu. Ever thought of recording each side of the conversation locally and then combining it for the show? I don't even know if that is an option, just pulling ideas out of thin air. The only experience I have with recording is taking what ever is outputted from the soundboard at my church and making mp3's. I hope you guys bring the toys to VulcLAN to show off, and I could get some one on one tutoring

Our sound producer probably won't like the idea of having to mash together the conversation if we recorded them separately. We have however figured out a few things to make this system work a while lot better when we go on the road again and probably would have realized these things sooner if we didn't get the mic literally the day before we left, now we should be able to actually show off what this cool mic from Samson Audio/Zoom can do and not make it sound like vomit.

Hopefully in the future things go a little more smoothly, we're still learning things when it comes to the whole podcast thingy
