There have been PSP2 rumors for a while but yesterday EA's vice president came out and confirmed that they have one and are working to try to support it. Still not much is known as far as specs or release dates but if the developers already have them it probably can't be too far out. The Feed has more information on the upcoming PSP2 here.

Is anyone excited about the PSP2 (or even the Nintendo 3DS)?  Seems like the handheld gaming market has kinda died in the past little while due to the surge in the mobile phone market (and the fact that you can get a billion games for your phone).
