I've posted a bit of a "mini-review/article" regarding this High Caffeine drink.  If you're a gamer, and need that caffeine kick to get the edge at 3:00am, you may want to take a look at this review.

actually, they do taste pretty good, especially if they are really really cold. They were giving them away at Fragapalooza last year, so I tried a few, not sure how much they go for, but I'm assuming they are probably around the 2.00+range

They generally go for $2.50 @ 7/11 up here in Canada, but I was able to pick them up in a grocery store on the way down for $1.09USD - about $1.40CAD.

Well I tend to agree and disagree with you at the same time. For the hardcore caffine lover, Bawls is nothing special. If you want something special drink a redbull or two. At the Poral LAN in Lethbridge I had the pleasure of buying 6 Bawls drinks at 7-11. I downed 4 of them at 930 pm as I got to the portal while I was setting up, by 945 I was feeling a pretty good buzz (having no real caffine intake for the previos 2 days). The buzz only lasted until about 3 am however, even drinking the other two over the course of the night. Bang for the buck I'd still say go with coffee. Lets keep in mind however that Bawls is also intended for a younger audience as well. I'm sure one or two of them would do a 13 or 14 year old in for the night.

I must admit that I am not much of a coffee drinker, perferring cola over coffee more often than not to get a caffine and sugar rush. But I was fortunate to attend Quakecon 2003 this year, and Bawls was very visable there (EVERYONE had some, and to quote a friend of mine "It flows like water here!")

I showed up a little late thursday night, but By the time sunday rolled around, I drank 77 of them, and only slept a total of 8 hours. I was amazed at the level of awakeness it kept me at... and at such a prolonged time for that matter, although I did drink an enormous ammount (most was free so who wouldn't tho.)

The only bad thing about it, after a dozen or so, it makes your tongue a little numb.

I'm just going to go out on a limb here and say that I really doubt that 77 bawls is going to be healthy for a person to drink in a weekend, your probably lucky you didn't have to go into detox!!

Most definately not healthy, but sure was fun!!! heh, and that's only about 20 bottles a day less than one an hour... but yeah, not healthy at all. I don't reccomend anyone doing it, that's for sure.
