Asustor @ CES 2013
« on: January 08, 2013, 12:45:14 AM »
Asustor might not be a name you are familiar with, but thanks to a strong offering of Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices it might be a name that becomes more and more popular. Asustor is a sub-brand of Asus that specializes in storage (thus explaining the name). Asustor was founded in late 2011 so this is their first CES show and they were proudly showing off their new 6 series of NAS boxes which come in 2,4,6, and 8 bay models. All of these new models are based on the Intel Atom platform and offer features for the home user as well as the business user. All of the Asustor 6 series boxes feature the ability to add additional functionality to them thanks to Asustor’s App store which currently features 85 Apps (and growing).
