Hey I was just wondering if any of you guys had any documentation or any links to a newb guide to linux. I have installed it before and played around with it a tiny tiny bit, but I want to get more into it now. It would be good if they are easy to follow tutorials. Thanks in advance.

My first distro of Linux was Mandrake 8.0. It seemed fairly simple, and was quite easy to use. Lately, it seems that RedHat is gaining popularity to be the distro of choice. I'm running RH8 on a server of mine (thanks to Nicao), and it runs flawlessly and is easy to admin.
A couple of Linux (generic) sites are:
JustLinux
LinuxHelp
And a good place for downloads of course (ISO's and RPM's) is
RedHat
This Forum is actually running on a Linux Server that Nicao built. . .

I have Mandrake 9 I believe. But I couldn't get it to run on my system properly. However I had it running on another box a while ago. It seems that any distro I already have won't work on the machine I intend to put it on. I have to always go DL another version. Kinda weird but now I am setup with RH9. And it seems to be working pretty good. I am just trying to learn how to setup a Samba server for my network. Thanks for the links though.

If RH9 doesn't come with Webmin, get it. If it does, use it. You are able to administer your RH box over a webpage, and do everything from Burn CD's, Partion Drives, set up RAID, and set up Apache and Samba.
Webmin is the only way to go.

I thought that the feeling was the Mandrake was more for the Linux newbie while Red Hat was for the power user.....
