Alienware Goes Ubuntu
« on: April 07, 2013, 09:32:19 PM »
Dell and Alienware have been one of the few big box companies to embrace Linux on any front and the new Alienware X51 is now offering Ubuntu as an OS install choice.  The big news is that this shaves off about $100 of the price of the machine as opposed to one that comes with Windows.  Not only can you get a cheaper box with a functional OS, you can also install your own OS on this box if you already have a license kicking around.

Ubuntu’s stylish, intuitive interface provides a clean and streamlined experience that is easy to use. Ubuntu works with music, videos, photos and files that you use on your current PC. Its open-source operating system allows users to experience Ubuntu in a flexible manner that is unique to their preferences and its flexible interface can be customized to suit the user’s needs.Source: Alienware
