Motherboard Two-fer
« on: April 16, 2013, 10:24:54 PM »
As we continue on through the news today, we've got a couple of motherboard reviews lined up for you to take a look at.  The first one is a pretty affordable one from MSI that is build for gaming on the LGA-1155 platform.  The MSI Z77A-G45 is not a bad board at all and it won't break the bank.  HiTechLegion has more.

The MSI Z77A-G45 Gaming motherboard is a standard ATX form factor board and supports the newest Ivy Bridge processors and Sandy Bridge. The Z77A-G45 Gaming board is targeted at people who are looking for high end features at a mainstream price point. MSI has included solid cap capacitors and super ferrite core chokes in the design and gives it a military class III rating.

eTeknix has a look at the big dog from ASRock - the Fatal1ty X79 Champion and this board is about as loaded for bear as it can get. Take a look and see what makes this board tick and if it's worth the fistful of cash that it will cost you.

Z77 is typically the chip set of choice when it comes to day-to-day computing and gaming, but if you’re more like us at eTeknix where gaming is not a thing that you get time for or you generally don’t want to do, where the focus is more on sheer power for the likes of video rendering and image editing, then with out a doubt X79 is the way to go.
