Toshiba's 2560x1440 Kirabook
« on: April 17, 2013, 08:13:38 PM »
Toshiba is going to try and give the Macbook's Retina screen and Google's Chromebook Pixel a run for their money with their newly announced Kirabook. The Toshiba Kirabook will have a 13.3" screen with a 2560x1400 high resolution screen and will start around $1,600 USD and up. The screen on this laptop is pretty impressive and seems to be a sign of things to come as PC makers start to realize that people want high resolution dispays on laptops. Arstechnica has the details on this new release.

If you're a Windows user who has been stealing jealous glances at the high-resolution screens of theRetina MacBook Pro and the Chromebook Pixel, Toshiba's just-announced Kirabook may be of interest to you. The laptop's banner feature is its 13.3-inch, 2560×1440 display—just slightly lower than the smaller Retina MacBook's 2560×1600, but still considerably higher than most Ultrabooks.
