HPs $199 Windows 8.1 Notebook
« on: August 18, 2014, 09:02:36 PM »
If you don't think a Chromebook has quite enough features for you to use for your daily grind, a Windows laptop probably gets the job done better, but if you lose the think, you're generally out a lot more money. That's where Chromebooks have exceled and I do like it. The latest generation of Chromebooks is a bit more pricey and Microsoft really wants to compete in this space and they are. The HP Stream is a $199 Windows 8.1 machine that is powered by AMD and comes with 100GB of OneDrive. There's more details at the link below.

Instead of Intel's Atom or Pentium-SoCs here comes an AMD A4 Micro-6400T Quad-Core SoC with 1.0 GHz (up to 1.6 GHz) and integrated Radeon graphics R3 unit, which only needs 4.5 watts. This also ensures that the new cheap laptop from HP manages apparently without an active fan, because in his own excavations at us repair manual surfaced only a heatsink, but no fan on.Source: MobileGeeks
