2015: Apple's Year in Beta
« on: December 28, 2015, 10:04:10 PM »
Apple has had an insteresting year. According to some, everything they released in 2015 sucked. While I may agree with that, the truth is that everything they released was beta. If you were part of the Apple ecosystem and an early adopter, you probably would been frustrated at times, but you'd be ok. Still, as an Apple users - you should be more than okay. When you pay that much premium for a product or service, it should be stellar. The reason it's not ready is because Apple has been rushing products to meet release cycle schedules and as a result, the paying customer is a beta tester.

To get a sense of what I mean, just consider the first iPhone, which introduced a new platform with two incredible killer apps: the Safari browser (which was revolutionary in 2007) and Maps. The next iPhone introduced the App Store with a laundry list of additional killer apps, and you know what happened next - the entire tech industry turned upside down.Source: TheVerge
